Over the winter there were quite a few days with grey skies and the blahs. You know the drill. One thing I did sometimes to counteract that was use fabrics with bright colors to create log cabin quilt blocks. I kept a stack of strips all ready to go so I could just start sewing if I needed a distraction to think about nicer weather. Recently I turned those blocks into a small quilt, about 32 by 40 inches or so. I also added a twist to the backing of this quilt, here’s some photos.
I had red on my mind for a quilt for quite a while, so I went with the red backing. I also added rounded corners and now with better weather and more sunshine I think I’ll use this quilt in one of two ways as seen below.
I may even take it outside as a patio table covering once I know summer is really here. Do you have any new projects put out now that the weather has changed?
