This morning I was waiting with Sandy for our other friend Jamie to arrive for our weekly walk around the lake. I noticed some frozen over puddles, so I couldn’t resist stepping on the thin ice and cracking it. Aren’t these some interesting patterns created? Of course I took a photo, for future inspiration for my fiber art. I could print them on paper, cut away the pattern, and create a stencil or a resist piece for mono printing or screen printing. Some hand stitchers I know would use the patterns for embroidery. Perhaps I could print the photo on fabric and dye or paint over it before stitching, or print it on organza and place that wispy piece over another fabric arrangement, or even add more elements to the design. I don’t know what I’ll do with it, but I have it now for a creative experience someday. Do you see a face with two eyes like I do in the first photo? As I like to say, inspiration is everywhere is you’re open to receiving it!
